Dear Friends,

Warmest greetings to you and your family!

As 2023 is coming to an end, we want to thank you for your generous support of Northbow Educational Foundation this past year. Your support has been vital in supporting the apostolates of Opus Dei in Alberta.

We have had a busy 2023 including retreats, recollections, circles, spiritual direction, speaker series, family formation, family catechism, Kodiak father-son club, V3 seminars for older boys and the Kodiak camp. As well, there have been many activities for high school boys at Bowmont including weeklong summer workshops, and the weekly Peaks program.

Our residents at Bowmont have benefited from ongoing formation and a great family atmosphere. We still have room for more residents – young men that are attending university/college.

On behalf of Northbow Educational Foundation, I wish you and your family a blessed Christmas and joyous New Year.

 Michael Fielden

President, Northbow Educational Foundation

Bowmont’s aim is to enhance each resident’s personal development by opening new horizons in all aspects of human life.
Aside from being a university residence, Bowmont offers a variety of spiritual, cultural and intellectual activities. These activities are open to all residents and their friends, such as get togethers and series with different guest speakers, sports, excursions, and a wealth of cultural and academic activities.

The chaplaincy at Bowmont provides, to those who so desire, help and guidance in expressing and developing their Christian faith. This includes the opportunity to attend daily Mass, classes in Christian doctrine, confession and spiritual direction.

Bowmont fosters a serious study and a family atmosphere, where everyone commits to participate in the family life of the house, making here as much a home for others as for themselves.

Bowmont is conveniently located within walking distance to the University of Calgary and two C-Train stations.
